Ninja Crispi salmon and asparagus is a simple, one-basket meal that comes together quickly and requires minimal effort. The salmon cooks up tender with a lightly glazed top, while the asparagus turns soft with slightly crisp edges, all at the same time in the Ninja Crispi. It's an easy option for a balanced dinner without extra steps or cleanup. My other favorite recipe is Ninja Crispi Steak!

    Why this method works well

Cooking salmon and asparagus together in the Ninja Crispi keeps the process straightforward. There's no need to manage multiple pans or adjust timing between different components. Everything cooks just right in one basket, which makes the entire meal feel more manageable, especially on busy days.

The air fryer setting also helps the salmon stay moist while giving the top a slightly caramelized finish, especially when using a sauce. At the same time, the asparagus cooks through without becoming overly soft.

    The sauce makes a difference

Using a sauce on the salmon adds both flavor and texture. Thai chili sauce works particularly well because it creates a lightly sticky coating and adds a subtle balance of sweetness and heat.

Other sauces can be used just as easily depending on what you have on hand. Teriyaki, BBQ, or a simple garlic butter all work well. This is a flexible approach that doesn't require precise measurements or special ingredients.

How long to cook salmon in the Ninja Crispi

Salmon cooks in about 12 minutes on the Air Fry setting, depending on the thickness of your fillets. Thicker cuts may need an extra minute or two, while thinner ones cook faster.

The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F on a thermometer. If you like it just barely cooked through, pull it a touch early, since it keeps cooking for a minute after it comes out.

    How the asparagus turns out

Asparagus cooks quickly in the Ninja Crispi and pairs naturally with salmon. With a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper, it becomes tender while keeping a slight bite, especially at the tips.

Because it cooks alongside the salmon, it also picks up some of the flavor from the sauce, which brings everything together without needing additional steps.

What this looks like in a real kitchen

This is the kind of meal that fits easily into a regular routine. It doesn't require much preparation, and everything cooks at once, which helps save time and effort.

It works well as a standalone meal, but it can also be paired with rice or another simple side if you want something more filling.

    Small things that help

A few simple adjustments can make a difference:

Would you like to save this?

We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later!

    • Avoid overcrowding the basket so everything cooks evenly
    • Thicker salmon fillets may need slightly more time
    • Adding a bit more sauce can enhance the final flavor

These are small details, but they help ensure consistent results.

If you already use your Ninja Crispi

If you're already cooking with the Ninja Crispi, this recipe fits naturally into that routine. It's similar in simplicity to making bacon or quick chicken meals, where the goal is to keep things easy without sacrificing results.

Once you get used to cooking meals this way, it becomes a reliable option for everyday cooking.

What to serve with Ninja Crispi salmon

This salmon and asparagus is a full meal on its own, but it stretches nicely with a simple side.

    • Steamed rice or a quick rice bowl to soak up the sauce
    • Mashed or roasted potatoes
    • A crisp green salad
    • Quinoa or couscous
    • Crusty bread and a squeeze of lemon

    Storing and reheating

Store leftover salmon and asparagus in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Reheat gently on the Recrisp or Air Fry setting for a few minutes, just until warm, so the salmon does not dry out. Avoid the microwave, which can make it rubbery.

    Common questions

What setting do you use for salmon in the Ninja Crispi?

Use the Air Fry setting for about 12 minutes. Adjust the time slightly for thicker or thinner fillets.

How do you know when salmon is done?

It flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F at the thickest part. Pull it a minute early if you like it less cooked, since it keeps cooking as it rests.

    Do you flip the salmon?

No. It cooks evenly on the Air Fry setting without flipping, so you can leave it alone.

    Can I use frozen salmon?

Thaw it first for the best texture and even cooking. Pat the fillets dry before adding the sauce so it clings well.

Can I use a different sauce?

Yes. Teriyaki, BBQ, or garlic butter all work in place of Thai chili sauce, so use whatever you have on hand.
