Gnocchi is found in Italian cuisines and it is like a tiny dumpling. Traditionally they are made of potatoes, semolina, wheat flour, and eggs. The dough is pressed with a fork or cheese grater then boiled like pasta and served with a sauce and cheese.
There are many different types of gnocchi, a popular kind is cauliflower gnocchi. This is a great healthy and low-carb option that is mainly made of veggies.
Trader Joe's Outside-In Stuffed Gnocchi is a fun twist on an Italian classic. The wheat- and potato dumplings are stuffed with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. They are a little like pizza rolls, so I'm sure your kids will like them. They are little bites of cheesy goodness.
One of my favorite parts about this recipe is that you only need two things - a bag of frozen gnocchi, and an air fryer. 10 minutes later, you have dinner on the table!
Can you cook Trader Joe's gnocchi in air fryer
Yes, it's easy and convenient. We make them in the air fryer because a common problem many people have with gnocchi is that it can become mushy and chewy. This can happen especially if it is cooked in the microwave or over the stove. The perfect way to make frozen gnocchi is to fry it before either tossing it with a sauce or enjoy as is.
The air fryer is a healthier alternative to frying foods. The hot circulating air allows the food to get crispy with little to no oil. This method is the perfect way to prepare Trader Joe's outside-in stuffed gnocchi. The air fryer gets them toasty without the gnocchi getting mushy or stuck to the pan and the tomato sauce and cheese filling stays perfectly inside!
