Can I cook a frozen Beyond Burger in air fryer
Absolutely. It is recommended that you thaw the patties first before cooking, but if you forgot to do so, you can cook them from frozen just like any other type of burger. The hot circulating air of the air fryer makes them brown and perfectly crispy in under 20 minutes, while still being juicy and tender on the inside.
The patties are done when they are golden on the outside and pinkish on the inside. Make sure that they reach an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit. You can insert a meat thermometer into the center to check if you are unsure about the doneness.
Cooking instructions (overview)
Open the package and place burger patties in the air fryer basket. Spray with some olive oil spray (optionally) and cook for about 18 minutes. There is no need to shake the basket or flip burgers along the way. They will be cooked perfectly.
While patties are cooking, prepare all the ingredients to assemble burgers. When patties are ready, set them aside for a moment. If using cheese, add sliced cheese on top of patties after cooking time is over. It will melt on top of the hot patty by itself.
Get burger buns and add to the basket. Cook for couple minutes until lightly toasted. Add a mix of mayo and ketchup on to each bun. Add lettuce, tomatoes, sliced onions and patty itself. Top with another bun and your air fryer vegetarian burgers are ready!
