Shredded parmesan cheese. The traditional choice for an authentic Alfredo sauce.
How to make alfredo chicken wings
To start with the recipe you will need couple pounds of chicken wings. If you have guests coming, count about ½ lb of wings per person.
If wings are frozen you will need to thaw them first. Pull them out of freezer and keep in the fridge overnight, they should be thawed by the morning.
Or simply leave them on the counter in a large bowl and they will defrost in couple hours. If you need them quick, submerge wings in the cold water and they will deforms faster.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lay the baking sheet with parchment paper for an easy clean up. Brush it with some olive or avocado oil and use an oil spray.
Cover wings with salt, pepper and garlic powder and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes.
Meanwhile make Alfredo sauce. Heat butter in a medium size pot. Once melted add heavy cream and stir. Turn the heat down to low and add Parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese melts and create an even sauce.
Pro tip. Do not use already shredded store bought Parmesan cheese. It will not melt properly because of the anti caking agent they are using.

Frequently asked questions
White sauce typically refers to Béchamel, a popular sauce in French cuisine. It is made with a roux of flour and butter, then the cream and cheese are added. The result is a very thick and heavy sauce.
Alfredo sauce, on the other hand, does not use any flour. So it is not as thick as white sauce but lets the yummy smooth, cheese and garlic flavors really shine.
Because it is made with heavy cream, butter, and cheese, the consistency of the sauce is very rich and velvety.
The flavor is rather mild, with a bit of a nutty and sweet taste from the parmesan. Minced garlic adds a delicious punch of vibrant, earthy and savory flavors.
In a word, this chicken wing Alfredo sauce is delicious!
To be perfectly honest, this is not a healthy dish. The combination of butter, cream, and cheese does make the sauce have a fairly high amount of saturated fat and calories. With that being said, I absolutely feel like these Alfredo chicken wings are worth it and are perfect for an indulgent snack every-now-and-then.
No, you want to cook the wings completely before tossing in or adding on the sauce. Otherwise the wings won't cook properly, and the sauce will not have the same creamy texture and great flavor. Instead, add the sauce to the wings after cooking and cooling a bit so that the sauce holds on well to the chicken.
Serving
Chicken can be served with so many side dishes, it basically taste great with everything. Turkish red cabbage salad will be great paired with mashed potatoes or a bowl of steamy white rice.
Grilled vegetables, steamed broccoli or asparagus, scalloped potatoes. Make a simple garden salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and arugula and spinach, drizzle with some olive oil and enjoy with the wings.
Storage
Leftovers. Alfredo chicken wings leftovers can stay fresh in the fridge for up to 6 days. Just place them in the air tight container or just tightly cover the bowl with a piece of foil.
Freezer. You can freeze cooked wings for up to 6 months. Use a freezer safe container or bag and make sure that all the wings are covered with sauce before freezing.
Reheat. I prefer to reheat chicken in the microwave. Wings are not crispy because of the sauce so there is really no reason to reheat them in the air fryer. Also all the sauce will just drip to the bottom of the basket.
