Trader Joes Harvest Blend pilaf is a delicious combination of couscous, orzo, garbanzo beans and quinoa cooked with a handful of simple pantry staples. This easy, versatile, and hearty side dish is ready to serve with your favorite proteins in under an hour!
In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until the onions are translucent and fragrant.
Pour in the Harvest Grains Blend and toast lightly with the onions and garlic for about 1 minute.
Add the broth, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and let it cook for about 30 minutes, until the grains are tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
Remove from heat, season with salt and pepper, and let it stand covered for 5 minutes.
Fluff the pilaf with a fork, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve as a side to your main dishes.
Store leftovers in the air tight container in fridge for up to 4 days. When ready to use again, just simply reheat in the microwave. Heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
